We all need someone to listen with compassion.
I provide supportive, compassionate counseling for adults and older adults who are navigating life transitions; living with mental or physical illness; coping with caregiving stressors; and/or dealing with the challenges of aging.
It is my goal to listen without judgment and truly understand each client's goals, strengths, and challenges. Working together with my clients, we identify a path forward.
Having been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for almost 25 years, my professional experience has included hospital social work, geriatric care management, and supporting clients and families coping with dementia and other chronic conditions.
I am a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) and have assisted many clients who are newly diagnosed, as well as family caregivers trying to best support their loved ones. I have also received the Certified Grief Informed Professional (CGP) certification as many of my clients have experienced losses, from the death of a loved one to the loss of functional abilities, that impact their lives in significant ways.
I have received training from SAGECare on meeting the needs of LGBTQ+ older adults. It is important to me to understand each client's lived experience, and to honor their individual goals and needs.
I received my master's degree in social work (MSW) from the University of Chicago Crown Family School of Social Work and my bachelor's degree from Brown University. I hope that with my knowledge and experience I can assist you on your journey to greater health, contentment, and connection.
